Search for a printer or printer contact:
Find information about a printer or printer contact.

Chain of Events for Printer Problems:

  1. User discovers problem.
  2. User calls the technical contact for the department. If for any reason the Department Techie cannot be contacted, the user should call the Helpdesk.
    • If the user calls anyone else, the person called should determine that the Department Techie hasn't been notifed, and gently point the user to them or to the Helpdesk.
  3. Department Techie troubleshoots to the best of their ability, if they can't figure it out, they call the Helpdesk.
  4. The Helpdesk troubleshoots to the best of their ablility. If the problem is determined to be a queue problem, the Unix Team is notified. If the problem is not a queue problem, the Department Contact is notified, or a Helpdesk person visits the printer.
